For what it’s worth, the clock in CP6 P1,p1 and CP1 P1,p1 both show the same time – apparently 10 p.m.This appears to be the hand of the usherette (compare with CP#5 P1,p4.) The unnamed female narrator, at least up until now, was not wearing a wedding ring (see CP#5 P1,p2 and P8,p4.).The contract echoes this contract scene from A Night At The Opera, but also probably references Alan Moore’s frustration with contracts with DC Comics (which is owned by Warner Brothers).He is playing the cash register/piano in the peculiar style which Chico used.
